Hi!  I’m Kristin – Owner at Studio420 Brows.

I grew up in a small town, Thatcher, Arizona with my parents and 7 siblings, and grandparents close by. I played volleyball, basketball, and danced on the drill team. I’m 6ft tall and clients are always surprised by my height and say I look a lot shorter in pics and videos.

I met my husband in college – he was my boss. He was a restaurant manager, and I was a waitress. It was love at first sight for him (Haha). We dated a month and a half, got engaged, and were married 6 months later. We’ve now been married 28 years, and have 5 children: 3 boys, 2 girls. My family moved to Austin, TX in 2008 for my husband’s job transfer. We LOVE Austin and don’t plan to ever leave!

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

I have a passion for people. I love people. I love getting to know them and I honestly believe there is beauty in every person I meet.

I’ve had many jobs – retail clerk, waitressing, inside sales for a computer distributor, orthodontic lab owner, and realtor. While all of them had interaction with people, I kept trying to find the perfect fit for me.  None of them did it for me.

I have always had a love for all things hair and makeup, so after YEARS of being a stay-at-home-mom, ( we had 5 kids in 7 years ) I went to cosmetology school in 2006 to pursue my real passion, which is making people HAPPY. It’s the BEST!

I LOVE making women feel and look beautiful.  Women carry the weight of the world on their shoulders.  If I can help take a load off and help them escape their stresses for a little while, it’s so rewarding for me. It’s AMAZING what a little cut, color, blowout, and a little makeup can do for a person. Not only do these things enhance their outward beauty, but they leave FEELING beautiful. They leave with a little more swagger and sparkle in their eye and are ready to tackle their challenges with a little more confidence. The transformation is incredible to watch. It makes ME so happy.

In 2016 I signed up for a microblading class to offer this service to my hair and makeup clients.  I quickly discovered that eyebrows have a bigger impact on how a woman feels than what her hair or makeup does for her!  Hair and makeup are temporary, eyebrows are semi-forever. They transform the face more than any other feature.  If the brows are jacked up, it doesn’t matter how good your makeup is applied, or how well your hair is styled.  I think good teeth might be the second most important feature on a face, but since you can’t hide bad brows behind closed lips, BROWS are definitely the most important feature for framing the face. Think about it. Am I right?

BROWS have now taken over my profession and life. I occasionally still do hair and makeup, but I’m OBSESSED with eyebrows. I study them, I practice them, I can’t stop looking at them.

Hi! My name is Leslie Scott. For starters, I am not originally from Texas.  I grew up just outside of Seattle Washington.  I loved it in the Northwest, where they actually have all 4 seasons and mountains!  My parents are still up there, but myself and all 6 of my siblings have left the Northwest and are now spread all over the country.

I met my husband in 1996 at a small college in Idaho.  We were married in the summer of 1997.  We had our first child and graduated college in 1999.  Soon after we accepted a position at Motorola and moved to Austin in the summer of 2000.  We have absolutely loved it here and have since added 4 more children to our family.  We have been blessed with 4 girls and 1 boy.  We have called Pflugerville home for 18 years now and have loved it!

I met Kristin in the summer of 2008 and have been friends ever since.  When she first started Studio420 Brows it was so fun to hear about the amazing women that she was able to meet and to see the transformations she was able to create.  When she approached me and asked if I could help out, I jumped at the chance!  I love meeting new people!  Everyone has a story and their own personal journeys.  I have felt very blessed to be able to work at Studio420 and look forward to hearing all about your journey that brought into the studio!

Hi! My name is Salina Iacono.

I was born and raised in Southern California. I worked at a veterinary office for ten years. I truly enjoyed getting to be around animals each and every day. Unfortunately, after long hours and many years, I felt my passion for the job dwindling away. I knew it was soon going to be time for a career change.

Shortly after, I started communicating with my now husband whom I had met on MySpace. We hit it off so well and quickly that we decided to take a trip to Texas and meet in person. The trip was even more perfect than I could have imagined; I flew back to California and made arrangements to return to Texas in less than 30 days, permanently! I gained a young stepson during this, with whom I am very close. We have now been a family for over 8 years.

We also own Freedom Machine Tattoo studio in Pflugerville, TX. My husband has been a tattoo artist for 20 years. While helping out with the tattoo shop I began to see more about Cosmetic Tattooing. I was instantly interested and started seeking out as much information as I could. My husband showed me how to use a tattoo machine and I started practicing on synthetic skin daily. I then flew back to California and received in-person training from a Cosmetic Tattoo Expert. I’ve since done numerous in-person training sessions, along with online courses to continually further my knowledge for my craft.

I truly enjoy challenging my skill and achieving the greatest results possible with every job I perform. I love the feeling of chasing perfection on each application that I get to do. The feeling of joy that I get when I see a person’s outward appearance lift them up is irreplaceable. I feel I’m finally in a career that I was meant to do. I look forward to each and every experience my clients present.
